Athletics

Students may particpate in organized athletics through a partnership with the Squaw Valley Ski Team and Tahoe Truckee Unified School District. Through these partnership, students in good academic standing have access to traditional club, middle school and high school sports teams.

Squaw Valley Ski Team

Squaw Valley | Alpine Meadows' rich competitive heritage spans decades and includes athletes who have gone on to compete in national, World Cup, and Olympic events. Alumni include Marco Sullivan, Tamara McKinney, Jonny Moseley, Travis Ganong and Julia Mancuso - just to name a few.  Our competitive ski, snowboard, telemark team programs are designed to offer all ages a team environment to learn gate-bashing, freestyle, and skills for staying safe and having fun on snow. With the Squaw Valley | Alpine Meadows Ski Team Foundation providing support, the legacy remains strong.

The Schools share a team room and workout facility on mountain.

A physical exam and parent signatures included in the packet must be completed and turned into the office prior to tryouts. The Athletic Handbook must be read and each athlete must sign an Athletic Contract prior to the first day of practice. The contract will give all the guidelines for participating in a team sport.

SVP students must declare a home school for athletics during their 9th grade school year. SVP athletes may only participate in their home schools for the entirety of their high school career. Competing at more than one school violates the NIAA regulations.
